Taking a stall in Wimborne Market’s Friday Farmer’s Market seems to have been a success; Angie only had time to complete a couple of Morsbags in between chatting to interested passers-by. A lot of leaflets went, both for Transition Town Wimborne and Transition BH, and also for the Dorset Cyclists Network and the local Fairtrade campaign. We got some new names for the email list & plenty of seeds got swapped or in the case of the really out of date ones, given away. Lots of people were very encouraging; many hadn’t heard of ‘Transition Towns’ but said, “It stands to reason we can’t go on like this!” so as a consciousness-raising exercise it was well worthwhile – probably worth doing every few months. Samples of Apple Butter on crispbread & the idea of a monthly Use-It-Up recipe on the website seemed very popular but that may have been a venue-specific effect. Special thanks to all from Transition Town Poole who made the effort to come up, swap seeds & generally be supportive!
The recipe that was available at the stall is now online as a Word Document Download
